1. Writer's Notebook trigger exercise--please write for four minutes from the following word: LESSON.
2. Begin reading Chapter 7 "I Do" on p. 201. Read until p. 226 before "Take a Deep Breath."
3. Complete the following assignment in your Writer's Notebook: Describe Bill and Nicolette and summarize their views regarding factory farming.
4. Complete annotation and reflection of articles of the week.

1. Writer's Notebook trigger exercise--please write fro the following word: COMPLEXITY.
2. Revisit your memoir writings in order to identify two themes or central ideas that seem to be present in all of them. In other words, what are you noticing about obstacles/ambitions/areas in your life and your writings? Identify these ideas or themes and discuss how they are approached throughout your narratives. This should be the first paragraph. The second paragraph should focus on your own self-evaluation of your writings. What is your favorite piece and why? What piece did you struggle with and why? What elements of craft are your strengths and which areas would you like to improve on thorughout the remainder of the year? All students must finish by the end of the hour; this will be checked at the start of class tomorrow.
3. If time permits, work on articles of the week. (KIM chart will be checked tomorrow).
